I've also been working on a free, simple role-playing game. It's nothing big, and it steals ideas from several other popular RPGs. But if you don't like the mechanics, it also includes a lot of information about my Bloodhunters universe, such as planets and species. So if you don't like the crunch, you might like the lore.

My first book is now available on the Kindle Store. Needless to say, I'm very excited. Book 2 should be ready in about a month, and book 3 should be out another month after that. Amazon has a 90-day exclusivity on each book, but after that, I'll make it available on other online stores as well. As far as physical copies, I might look into that later.
