Are there any content warnings I should be aware of before reading the book?

Most of the stories contain transphobia in one form or another. One of the stories mentions sexual assault.

What inspired you to write this collection?

As usual, when writing other stories, I kept coming up with ideas that didn't fit the current universe. A couple of these are stories I'd been thinking about for a long time, while others popped into my head spontaneously at work.

What is your favorite story in Gender Rolls?

The Opposite of Magic. I love the way the magic works in that universe.

What is your least favorite story in Gender Rolls?

Reality Check. It's gross. There's a point to the grossness, but that doesn't make it any easier to read. At least it's short.

What’s your favorite line from the book?

"...but he didn't have a leg to stand on." (Legal Battle) Well, it's funny in context.

What challenges did you face when writing the book?

Finding time to write. My life has been hectic lately.

Who designed your cover?

I designed and photographed it myself. My wife is a resin crafter, and she made the dice.

Is this a standalone collection, or part of a series?

I consider this a spiritual successor to Geek Cutes and Rainbow Nightmares, but most of the stories exist in their own universes. One story in Gender Rolls has precursors in Geek Cutes and Rainbow Nighmares. Two other stories take place in the Bloodhunters universe. But you don’t need to read those to understand the stories in Gender Rolls.

Where can I buy this book?

It’s available on Amazon and several other e-retailers.
